Dear friends,
Before I share the next big piece, I wanted to pause for a quiet moment of gratitude. This isn’t a polished essay or a call to action—just a moment of gratitude from my heart to yours. This part—the showing up, the listening, the support—it matters just as much as the writing itself. If you’re reading this, it means you’ve shown up in some meaningful way, and I wanted to take a moment to honor that.
When I first started The Other Side of the Pew, I wasn’t sure anyone would read it, let alone feel moved to share it, respond to it, or support it. But so many of you have done exactly that. I’m still catching my breath—from the kindness, the conviction, and the quiet courage you’ve brought into this space.
To those who’ve subscribed, shared my work, written notes of encouragement, or chosen to support this project financially: I’m deeply grateful. Your presence reminds me that I’m not alone in wrestling with hard questions or holding fast to hope when the world feels upside down.
Thank you for being here. Truly. More to come soon.
With gratitude and quiet hope,
Jessica
